In that job, he was responsible for strategic territory development and customer service and satisfaction with a focus on fraud prevention, compliance management and anti-financial crime. Before that, El-Rikabi was country manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland for BAE Systems Applied Intelligence from February 2010 through May 2012.

VERTEX PICKS EUROPE MANAGER
Vertex has hired Akram El-Rikabi to lead European operations. The indirect tax software company says the hiring reflects its growth in the market there. Although the announcement was this week, his LinkedIn page shows he began work with the company in August.
