Add on $181.2 million lost as the euro strengthened against the dollar and the software company lost $192.1 million for the most recently ended period, compared to a loss of $186.8 million last year. The good news was revenue of $3.12 billion for 2018 was up 9.2 percent from $2.86 billion for 2016, an increase of 6.8 percent in constant currencies. Revenue, of course, was a tale of SaaS subscriptions, which hit $523.3 million, rising 33.1 percent from $393.3. License revenue was off 15 percent at $332.6 million. Consulting services and other fees rose 1.4 percent to $1.41 billion from $1.39 billion. Describing the fourth quarter, CEO Charles Phillips said in a recent earnings conference call, “Infor delivered another solid quarter delivered by continued momentum in SaaS revenue”. Phillips noted this fall’s Inforum conference will see an increased emphasis on analytics with focus on embedding analytics in applications.

Infor reported a 190.1-percent increase in operating income for the year ended April 30. Of course, given how highly leveraged the company is, much of the $332 million in operating income was consumed by interest expense of $317.9 million for fiscal 2018.
