Steve Kelly, SageStephen Kelly, who has been instrumental in remaking Sage, has resigned as director and CEO of the Sage Group. He will remain “available to the Group” until May 31, Sage said it its announcement.

The board has appointed CFO Stephen Hare as interim COO. He will run the company until a new CEO can be appointed. Kelly joined Sage in November 2014 after holding the job of COO of the government of the United Kingdom from September 2012 until taking the Sage job. Under his watch, the company has increased revenue and replaced most of the top 100 employees at the company.
