SAGE NAMES (MUCH SMALLER) CEO CIRCLE Featured

Jennifer Warawa, SageSage has named seven organizations to the Sage CEO Circle 2018 for North America. It is a smaller group than last year and it may be part of an industry trend to cut back on VAR awards.

After all, Microsoft did not name its President’s Club this year, the first time ever, going back into the Great Plains days where the award originated. Last year, there were 13 selected—well, maybe Sage wanted this year to save on the cost of the trip to Thailand for the winners. Also missing so far are the variety of different awards given circle members when they were named. As notable as the decrease in numbers was the identities of resellers who did not make the 2018 selection, maybe of them perennial award winners: Accordant, DSD Business Systems, SWK Technologies and Blytheco. The announcement was made by Jennifer Warawa, EVP of Partners, Accountants and Alliances, and the company rattled off factors involved in selection: year-over-year revenue growth, accelerated new customer acquisition across Sage Business Cloud, and maintained above average percentage of their installed base on subscription. This year’s winners are ADSS Global, Alliance Solutions Group , BAASS Business SolutionsMicroAccountingNexTec and The Answer Company. Another possible indication of where awards stand—this list was normally distributed before December in a press release. Despite asking the Sage PR team when it was would be available, there has been nothing official released.
