ACUMATICA 80, SAGE 23 Featured

ArrowsThat’s not the score of a lopsided basketball game. It reflects the number exhibitors at two conferences—80 at this week’s Acumatica Summit and 23 for the upcoming Sage Summit in San Diego, Calif., February 13 through 15.

And reports from the Acumatica conference were Sage had rejiggered the exhibit hall because of the smaller than expected number of sponsors. One Acumatica exhibitor said Sage didn’t ask him to sponsor so he’s not going. Sage has been asked for comment. The online agenda for San Diego is puzzling. The breakouts on Partner Day on February 13 and user sessions on February 14 do not suggest how elements the Sage Business Cloud will relate. User sessions for Sage Manufacturing and Sage Enterprise Intelligence are described thus: "Description to be added by January 10th." Perhaps it’s appropriate the latter session is on the Thought Leadership track. There are Sage 50, 100 and 300 “attendee journeys”. SBC includes Sage Intacct, which still has a separate show and Enterprise Management (X-3), which also has its own. There’s a Sage Financials session on Partner Day. That’s the name of the former Sage Live, thought of as Sage Dead, by many. The day’s Sage Payments & Banking Services has a blank description. There’s also some strange scheduling with Partner Experience Panels being held 11 to 11:30 am followed by a 45-minutes product roadmap and strategy. That’s pretty compact for a panel and for the number of Sage products.
