KKR TO BUY EXACT Featured

ExactKKR continues on its shopping adventure in the financial software space. KKR, which acquired Epicor Software in the summer of 2016, is buying Exact, based in the Netherlands. Terms were not disclosed.

KKR is also likely to takeover Australia’s MYOB, pending regulatory approval and a shareholder vote which will probably happen in May. Exact’s announcement said, “Exact will remain to operate as an independent company and continue its daily business with the same focus on serving the needs of our customers and partners.” Apax Partners purchased Exact for nearly $1 billion in 2014, taking it private. In 2017,  Apax acquired ECI Software Solutions and transferred the American software packages, JobBoss, Macola and Max from Exact to ECI. KKR also acquired Epicor from Apax. KKR has already purchased 17-percent of MYOB’s stock from Bain and its proposed deal is for the rest of Bain’s ownership.
