GOLDBERG TOOK TOP NETSUITE SPOT Featured

Evan Goldberg has taken over running the Oracle NetSuite business unit. A spokesperson said he took over the organization's top spot in October, but there was no formal announcement.

That was in answer to a question asked at this week’s SuiteWorld conference about the whereabouts of Jim McGeever, whose LinkedIn profile still shows him as EVP of the NetSuite Global Unit. McGeever tookover as head of NetSuite when CEO Zach Nelson retired after the company’s purchase by Oracle. McGeever, highly visible at last year’s conference, was not scheduled as a speaker this year, although he was sitting in the front row during a keynote. “He is helping with global strategy,” a spokesperson said. Title? There doesn't seem to be one and apparently, he is also taking something of a sabbatical.  Certainly, Goldberg was front and center in the opening keynote, sharing the stage and couch with Oracle CEO Mark Hurd and participating in comedy bits with members of Second City. Goldberg was previously chief technology officer.
