DYNAMICS SOURCE RECRUITNG SMALL VARS

Dynamics Source, a Dynamics VAR based in Springdale, Ark., is reaching out to small Dynamics VARs that are getting squeezed out of the Microsoft channel by new requirements. And it seems likely we’re going to be seeing a lot of this. Founder and CEO Jason Hull wants to use smaller VARs as subcontractors who can continue to serve their Dynamics clients.
Hull’s company would need to become the reseller of record, but linking up with the Dynamics Source alliance may be the only alternative to one- and two-person shops leaving this market completely.  The new Microsoft program has requirements that make a three-person firm the smallest possible. Hull says the small VARs could obtain certifications under the Microsoft channel program.  “It’s no secret Microsoft is trying to whittle away its channel,” says Hull. As part of the alliance the smaller organizations would be able to provide their clients with resources such as expertise in CRM and SharePoint. Hull says that he believes the alliance members will still have a role because of the large number of end users who want a local relationship with someone to support Dynamics.
