SAP NAMES NEW SME LEADER Featured

Sengupto Subhomoy 1SAP has named Subhomoy Sengupta to run its small and midsize enterprise operations globally. The SME business is in flux with SAP already having changed leadership for SAP Business One and Business ByDesign.

Sengupta, who has been with SAP since March 2014, was most recently chief of staff for the board area of global customer operations. He was with Microsoft and Oracle previously. SAP appointed Karl Fahrbach as its chief partner officer in March. The software company put Juergen Sattler in charge as SVP for SAP Cloud SME Solutions and Content in April. Leaving his job was Michael Schmidt, who was in charge of ByD since July 2014 and of B1 in April 2018. Schmitt is still with SAP but Luis Murguia, who headed B1 since January and was SVP of the combined B1, ByD effort from April 2018, left the company in April 2019.
