MICROSOFT EXPLAINS BAN ON CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS

Microsoft said its decision to stop accepting credit cards for purchase made by Dynamics resellers effective November 1 brings the ERP operation into line with the policy on credit card payments worldwide.

A spokesperson said this was done "to create global efficiency and to ensure both regional and partner channel consistency." The preferred methods of payment remain pre-payments via wire transfer or check. This change applies only to Dynamics resellers as other channels were using credit cards. Consumers can still use plastic to pay for purchases, including Dynamics customers who renew online or pay for support incidents online. This change was announced via a conference call with a number-terribly-happy group of members of the Dynamics Partner Advisory Council.
