EXPLAINING THE DSD NETWORK

After explaining what I thought I knew about DSD Business Systems M&A program in the last newsletter, I got an email from owner Doug Deane clarifying how it works. The network is not a buying group, as I printed. DSD purchases the resellers' customers with the local dealers keeping their business name as a dba of DSD Business Systems.

Deane notes some of the companies, such as Free Palazzo in Georgia, have adopted the DSD brand. Palazzo is now operating as DSD Business Systems of Georgia. While those businesses can choose to use the DSD name or not, it was clear from the name tags I saw at the Insights conference that they are increasingly adding DSD before the existing name.
