SAGE ROLLING OUT COMMON PAYROLL

Sage logoHaving modules that can fit into its different accounting software lines has been something Sage has talked about a long time. That plan is now gaining speed with the rollout of Common Payroll, an Accpac module that will be released this month for Abra SQL, MAS 500 and X3 and in November for MAS 200 SQL.

To use the description from Sage, "The Common Payroll initiative focuses our efforts on developing a single best-of-breed solution that surpasses the functionality and ease of use found in our current payroll modules." Sage says there are more than 4,000 Accpac customers using the application. This is a big deal for Sage in terms of cutting the cost of developing for the 12 different payroll products that it now markets and some of these have multiple versions. Common Payroll utilizes what Sage has named the sData communication protocol for integrating payroll with all of Sage's ERP applications.
