BURCH JOINS INTACCT CHANNEL EFFORT

Peyton BurchCPA Peyton Burch, who left the VAR business to work with Taylor Macdonald at Deltek, has joined Macdonald in his effort to enlist accounting firms and VARs in the Intacct channel program. Burch joined the vendor of Internet-based financial applications this week as senior channel executive during its Advantage customer and channel conference.  "I am going to be working with Taylor on the channel team and CPA program," says Burch, who is based in Houston. Burch ran Burch Consultants, a Sage reseller, before joining Deltek early in 2008 as director of partner programs after Macdonald had started there in January that year as vice president of Worldwide Channels and Sales Alliances.  Burch remained at Deltek  after Macdonald left the project accounting vendor late in 2008. Macdonald had channel positions at Promethean and Infor before joining Intacct as VP of channels in July.  Burch Consultants was acquired by ERG and Burch was there from May 2005 through June 2006 and stayed with that organization after it was acquired by the former MIS Consulting until January 2008 when he joined Deltek. He has been active in professional organizations, including the committee that has coordinated the AIPCA's technology conferences.
