NETSUITE VARS MERGE

Montreal-based ERP Guru has merged with MD Technical Resources of Glenview, Ill.  Both companies are NetSuite resellers. (Note to press release writers: when companies merge, it’s useful to state what the name of the surviving organization and who is in charge. I assume it's the much-larger ERP Guru.) ERP Guru, which has been in the NetSuite program since 2005, says it employs 30 NetSuite software engineers/consultants.

It’s also useful to note – and this is something no one would put in their own press release – that MD merged with HighTower, one of Sage’s larger partners, in 2010 and that relationship didn’t work out and MD owner Mike Davis and HighTower parted ways after just over a year. HighTower CEO Jeff Rosengarden says he needs to rebuild resources in order to gear up the NetSuite practice. “We’ve to get it going again,” says Rosengarden. “We are very committed to NetSuite.” The company took on the web-based NetSuite line in July 20089. After trying to build the NetSuite operation from existing resellers, Rosengarden had turned to MD as a better way of accomplishing that.
