INTUIT DROPS ISP FEE

Intuit has reportedly dropped a $1,000 annual fee for resellers to be part of the Intuit Solution Provider program.  That sounds like a fairly hefty amount given the list price of QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, the product handled by members.  So getting rid of it is a good move.
But as they say in the westerns, “It’s quiet out there. Too quiet.”  Well, at least when it comes to QBES. The company recently held its ISP conference in Florida and has not produced any information about the show other than the names of award-winning VARs is going to be released soon. But I’ll get back to my memory that two years ago Intuit said it would develop QBES with modules that distinguished it from QB Pro and that hasn’t happened with any great regularity. Apparently lacking any real news about the product, Intuit chose to retread information about QBES Advanced Inventory, which was released last year. The press release’s first line “Mid-sized companies are increasingly turning to QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions Advanced Inventory, …” reminded me of news broadcasts that begin “The president continued his trip in Europe this week”, which is what the business calls a slow news day.
