The aggregator is dead. Long live the aggregator? The past and future of reseller consolidation has met with the acquisition of ePartners by Tribridge.
Terms were not disclosed. Tampa, Fla.-based Tribridge, one of three Microsoft Master VARs, raised just over $24 million in capital in the last year and it probably used a bunch of that in this deal. Tribridge admitted to $60 million in revenue for its submission to the 2011 VAR Stars.
ePartners most recent numbers were $36 million for 2010, but I would suspect it was trending down. The announcement said the deal includes most American assets of Dallas-based ePartners. The ePartners operation in the United Kingdom was sold to eBecs Ltd., another Dynamics reseller, earlier this year. Tribridge said more than 90 percent of ePartners employees and executives would join it. Founded in 1992 as TexSys RD, ePartners grew rapidly by acquisition to more than $100 million in revenue, but then began contracting. Tribridge CEO Tony DiBenedetto
cited the acquired company's healthcare practice as one of the major assets his company gets in the deal.
