SAP: 2011 BEST YEAR EVER

SAP logoSAP says that financial results for the period ended December 31 were the best-ever fourth quarter and year the company has reported. The information was a pre-release of financial results and the earnings webcast will not be held until January 25.
Revenue for 2011 was about $18 billion, an increase of 15 percent over 2010. Operating profit for the most recently ended year was about $6.2 billion, a 19-percent increase over the prior year. The operating margin of 34.3 percent represented an increase of 1.1 percentage points. Fourth-quarter revenues were about $5.7 billion, up 10 percent while operating profit of $2.1 billion rose at the same rate. Operating margin for the fourth-quarter was 37 percent.
