SAGE HIRING X3 DIRECT SALES
Sage has talked about having direct sales for areas in which resellers are not serving customers. That is apparently part rationale behind the job posting on Sage’s Career Center for individuals to serve as part of a new of a new license sales team. The key phrase in the posting appears to be the following: “Maximize revenue through direct sales to designated accounts.”
Sage said the jobs are for sales of X3 and a spokesperson referred to positions as part of the Business Advisor Team that works with the channel. However the ad spoke of the successful candidates as account executives that close “ deals independently and actively through field and direct sales teams.” It also notes executives will “Recruit and assist channel partners in building alliances with local firms, third-party solutions and other partners.” These new hires will also be performing “product demonstrations as needed including [for] Business Partners.” I would have used the product name in this ad and I think the phrase Business Advisor could have been used too. It would have made the ad a little less threatening to the channel.
