SAGE NAMES GM FOR CONSTRUCTION/REAL ESTATE
In its ongoing Microsoft-Sage employee exchange program, Sage North America has named Jon Witty as VP and GM of its construction and real estate business. His job includes oversight of the Timberline and Master Builder products. The position had been vacant since January when John Geffel, a Timberline veteran and GM for that product, was shown the door (He asked if he could see it in another color). Or he found the door by himself.
Witty was described as having served as a regional leader for Dynamics with responsibility for partner strategy, group management, business development, marketing and sales. Witty reports to SVP Robert DeShaies, who was a long-time Solomon guy and later Great Plains guy, and whose position before heading to Sage was VP at Microsoft's US Partner Group. If this keeps going, they can just take one of the old group photos, cross out the words "Great Plains" and write in "Sage."
