INTACCT INTEGRATES WITH MISYS Featured

Dave Brown, MiSysCloud vendor Intacct has gotten into the manufacturing market by integrating with software from Manufacturing Information Systems. Besides integrating MiSys into Intacct, the latter company has added MiSys to the Intacct Marketplace. MiSys CEO Dave Brown said it’s the first time his company has integrated its product with a cloud-based accounting application.

A quick check of the Intacct press release lists suggests this is a first for the San Jose, Calif.-based SaaS vendor, at least a first in the sense that this is far more than a simple add on. It also shows how the cloud crew is moving to add functionality as most are still not as feature rich as the desktop applications. NetSuite, although far more mature, is still working hard to spur product development for specialized products built on its platform. Listening to competitors harp on the claim that Intacct's revenue is coming largely from CPA firms that use it for outsourced accounting, not through typical VAR sales, more product offerings would seem to be essential.
