SAGE HIRES MARKETING VP Featured

sageSage North America has hired Gabrielle Boko as EVP of marketing. This is a fairly heavy-duty hire. Boko was VP of marketing for SAP from June 2007 until this month and had the same title at OutlookSoft from May 2006 until that company was acquired by SAP. Going back in the early 2000s, she was a senior director at Cognos from August 1997 through May 2001.

Boko joins Sage next Monday and will work from its Irvine, Calif., office. She takes over the spot that has been vacant since October 2012 when Dennis Frahmann retired to concentrate on a career in writing. His novel, "Tales from the Loon Town Cafe", was published in March. That certainly sounds more interesting that accounting software. It’s somewhat hard to evaluate how much it means that it’s taken this many months to fill the job. (I have to ask Dennis if anything at Sage inspired the name, Loon Town).
