SAGE NONPROFIT NOW ABILA Featured

Krista Endsley, AbilaSage Nonprofit Solutions, which was sold to Accel-KKR in March, has become Abila. The new company name was rolled out this week, although the operation remains in Austin, Texas, which has been its home as Sage and as Micro Information Products, the predecessor company that originated the Sage Fund Accounting line. CEO Krista Endsley, SVP of the Sage unit for four years, said the company will remain faithful to channel distribution. It also plans a CPA program for later this year.

Meanwhile, product names remain relatively unchanged. The name Sage, of course, has been dropped, leaving Fund Accounting 100, Grant Management, Fund Raising 50, Millennium and Fund Raising Online. The company has hired Sandra Bucklin and VP of marketing. Bucklin was previously global services marketing director, strategy and mergers and acquisitions at Dell. VP of research and development is Grant Howe, who came along from Sage. CFO Jon Lovoy also came from Sage and his lineage goes back to the MIP finance department.
