ACUMATICA HITS BUSY RETAIL MARKET Featured

 Doug Hellenback, Intuitive Tek With the National Retail Federation holding its Big Show in New York City next week, the wires will be drenched in stories about retail systems. That includes Acumatica, I believe a first-time exhibitor, which is introducing the Acumatica Retail Management Solution, described as "as complete system for retailers that combine Magento eCommerce and Point of Sale technology built on the Acumatica platform." The product is actually coming from Intuitive Tek of Lakewood, Colo., which is led by president Brian Storrs and Doug Hellenback, VP of operations. Also debuting is Mobile 2.0 for its Prism system from Retail Pro International.

The company says the app deploys on iOS, Windows, Android and mini devices and functions across mobile and desktop devices. "Retail Pro Prism does not scale back features of the ePOS simply because it is mobile," is the official company positioning. Epicor is showcasing its Epicor Retail Cross Commerce, a multi-channel offering that was announced in September. Epicor says the product "bridges" the gap among online, mobile and brick-and-mortar realms for a more satisfying consumer experience and streamlined retail management." The Irvine, Calif.-based software company says it is also announced the general availability of Epicor Retail CRM 7.0. NetSuite is exhibiting, although the company has not released any pre-show press releases to hype products although its home page is dominated by a box urging viewers to "Visit NetSuite at NRF 2012."
