SAGE 100 2014 "CLOUD CONNECTED" Featured

SageThe launch of Sage 100 ERP 2014 reminds us that there are many ways to the cloud. Sage uses the phrase cloud-connected with the latest launch and given the number of companies who seem to want about everything but their accounting in the cloud, it's a reasonable approach. So the product integrates with Sage Inventory Advisor, Billing and Payment, Mobile Sales, Mobile Service and CRM. This is also a bit of a "Would you like fries with that?" approach.

Inventory Advisor starts at $299 per month; Billing & Payment is $129.95 Mobile Sales is $514.95. Mobile Service, $414.95. Each of these has a per-monthly user charge and a one-time setup fee. CRM Cloud is $39 per user per month and the Sage webpage says those interested in \on-premise can call for quotes. Is there anything missing? Since, Mobile Sales, Service and Billing & Payments each have a "Buy Now" button and you can check out via a shopping cart, I'd say the channel is missing. With Inventory Advisor, prospects can fill out a form "so a representative may contact you ..." and the on-premise CRM version says to "contact us and one of our specialists will help get you started." I guess reps and specialists could be VARs. Let me see; Microsoft's page on its latest Dynamics retail release has a button that says "Find a Partner" and another that says "Contact Us" under the statement, "Let us help you find a partner" with the links to five major channel players in retail via their logos. A bit more direct.
