EPICOR INTRODUCES VERSION 10 Featured

Erik Johnson, Epicor Software Epicor Software has unveiled Epicor ERP version 10 at its annual customer conference. The product is already available and the company this week gave a description of the features, along with the names of nine companies already live with the product. Epicor 10 gives users the choice of on-premise, cloud or managed service deployment and comes with a touch-enabled interface.

The new version also emphasizes social media capabilities with Epicor Social Enterprise delivering what the company called "an extensive collaboration and personalization environment." Users can follow application data or people alerts on an ad-hoc basis. Epicor 10 was built on the Epicor ICE 3 Business Architecture (you can look up the attributes Epicor Provides a Look at Potent Technology 'Under the Hood' of New Epicor ERP v10) with one of the more important features being a "100-percent Microsoft technology stack." This is what I would call a product that is any-enabled—runs on any device, anytime, anywhere, as the company says. The Microsoft stack includes support for SQL Server 2014. In a prepared statement, Erik Johnson, ‎Epicor's VP of technology strategy, said SQL Server 2014 boosts performance to twice that of previous releases and achieves greater hardware efficiency
