RANDY GOES TO ACUMATICA Featured

Collins ComputingThe Randy and Andy parties are must-attend events at Microsoft’ Worldwide Partner Conference and Convergence. But now, formerly loyal Collins Computing, by Steve Collins -but whose most visible representative is president Randy Forkner. the Randy of the party name - has become an Acumatica VAR. The company, whose ERP line was previously limited to Dynamics AX and GP, has been selling Acumatica under the radar and has already become a Gold-level reseller for the cloud company. This will get some people’s attention.

But then, Microsoft has already built an effective recruiting tool for cloud companies by blindsiding GP, NAV and SL dealers with the decision to drop certifications. Forkner reported having 45 employees for his submission for this year’s Bob Scott’s Top 100 VARs. But he never discloses revenue—or complains about my estimates which I put at $11.9 million this year. It could be $15 million for all I know. What’s important is that Collins is a high-quality VAR that the Dynamics channel knows. There will be more. On the Sage side, BHE Consulting has also joined the Acumatica fold. Acumatica CEO Jon Roskill called BHE a high-quality outfit, but it's not a large one even in the Sage channel. Roskill also says there are more announcements to come of Microsoft VARs fleeing to Acumatica.
