XERO PUTS CFO IN U.S. Featured

Gregory Volm, VP U.S. sales, XeroXero showed the emphasis it puts on the market in the United States as it hired a new CFO who will be based in San Francisco. The New Zealand-based published cloud accounting software this week said it has hired Douglas Jeffries as CFO with the prior person in that role, Ross Jenkins, moving to the newly created position of COO. Xero also announced the hiring of Gregory Volm, who had previously been senior director of North American sales for Zendesk, as VP of U.S. sales.

Volm was VP of corporate sales for InsideView from September 2007 through August 2012 and senior director of sales at Zendesk from August 2012 until this month. Matt Jefferson was picked as sales director in the U.K. Matt Jefferson was picked as sales director in the U.K. Jeffries was VP of finance at eBay from December 2003 through June 2007 and served as CFO of Palm, which was purchased by HP, from December 2008 through August 2010, He was CFO at Taleo, which was acquired by Oracle, from October 2010 through November 2012 and was CFO at RetailMeNot from December 2012 until making the move to Xero.
