Santiago Solanas, SageThe Sage Group has entered an agreement to use Salesforce's Customer Success Platform globally. In a brief announcement this week, the British parent of Sage North America said the platform "will provide data management systems that will enhance Sage's internal systems architecture, leading to operational improvement and an enhanced view of customers, both existing and new."

More important for the outside world, Sage will develop on the Salesforce 1 platform "to extend its capability in delivering cloud solutions to the small and medium-sized companies market." The prepared statement from Chief Marketing Officer Santiago Solanas was partly the usual bland proclamation in announcements like these. But it was interesting that he emphasized "our approach of partnering with world-class platform providers to provide more compelling cloud solutions for this ecosystem."
