VETTER HEADING XERO PROGRAM Featured

Amy Vetter, XeroXero has named Amy Vetter as its first Head of Accounting in the United States. Vetter's new job was announced in a press release that is part of an upsurge in announcements by the New Zealand-based cloud accounting software company. In the first three months of 2014, Xero issued 10 releases. So far it 2015, 17 have been emitted and there's a few more shopping days left. Maybe this is the trumpet fanfare before moving into the IPO process. But back to Vetter, whose job is not about heading an accounting department.

Vetter this week described her role as being "an advocate within the organization—to help accountants change over on a modern practice." That includes helping them study workflow  and pricing services. She said the most important decision is "finding a vertical niche that's right for your practice." Vetter joined the New Zealand-based cloud software vendor in January 2014 as global VP education and enablement. She retains that role. The company's official statement was that "Amy will draw together customer and partner needs, innovation road map, product and message to market; all into a concise vision for accountants and their journey towards the modern practice."
