FINANCIALFORCE KNOCKS FRANKENCLOUD Featured

Evan Goldberg, NetSuiteFinancialForce.com is going after cloud vendors that pitch a patchwork of applications. The company, whose ERP system is built on the Salesforce 1 platform, launched what it called an education initiative to raise awareness about the "FrankenCloud". It is an attack on vendors that FinancialForce said have bought their way into the cloud. It was primarily aimed at SAP and Oracle, but FinancialForce seemed happy to extend the definition to NetSuite.

A spokesperson said "With NetSuite, it's a different story, but from what we've heard from former NetSuite customers who are now on FinancialForce ERP, at least two of the more recently acquired technologies are still living on another platform. It's something we want to encourage businesses to question, explore, compare, contrast and learn the truth." At NetSuite's SuiteWorld conference CEO Zach Nelson accused the competitor of lying and founder and chief technology officer Evan Goldberg said NetSuite rewrites the products it buys so that "there is only one data base."
