TRIBRIDGE TALKS ABOUT GROWTH PLANS

Tribridge, Microsoft's worldwide partner of the year for 2010, has signaled its plans to acquire other resellers with capital it has secured through equity funding from LLR Partners.  The press release announcing the investment doesn't mention the amount raised, apparently the $24 million that was the subject of an SEC filing in September.
"The rapid consolidation of the IT services sector, the evolution of cloud computing and escalating partner requirements from leading technology publishers like Microsoft, Dell and others, have made it an optimal time for Tribridge to acquire complementary firms," the company’s press release stated. The announcement said that target companies would be in the areas of cloud computing and managed services, IT infrastructure, ERP and CRM. I was thinking that if the entire $24 million were used to buy organizations, it would probably buy about $24 million worth of business, since the multiples have often been one times revenue. Tribridge says it had $60 million in revenue and 300 employees for 2009. The company's website shows good coverage of major metropolitan areas so I'd think geographic coverage is not the top priority. Just to cover all bases, the company responded to a question that there are no plans to go public.
