UECKER-RUST DECISION IN FY 2016 Featured

Jodi Uecker-Rust, SageSage says there will be no decision on the tenure of Jodi Uecker-Rust, who returned to Sage North America as interim president on June 8. Uecker-Rust served as president of Sage Business Solutions from Feb. 9, 2009 until early October 2010 and left with the arrive of Pascal Houillon as CEO. With the naming of Steve Kelly as CEO in October 2014, she was brought back. The official word is that no decision will be reached until the next fiscal year, which begins on October 1.

The most recent executive change to be made was the departure of Brad Smith, who started with the company as EVP of customer experience for North America in July 2012. He had the word "global" added to the title in February, but that position ended this month. Smith's LinkedIn page was recently updated to show he was on a Sage summer sabbatical. However, one reseller who attended the recent Summit conference said Smith's communication with them left no doubt he was leaving the organization. Also departing this year was Joe Langner as EVP of Mid-Market Solutions in February. The book on Langner and Pascal was that they were anti-channel and took such steps as eliminating the Business Partner Advisory Council, recently reconstituted, and dumbing down the President's Circle awards event from a trip to a resort to a dinner at the conference.
