ACCTTWO ACQUIRES LEAP THE POND

David Furth, Leap the PondAcctTwo, which has been Intacct’s Partner of the Year for five straight years, has acquired Leap the Pond. Leap the Pond had $3.7 million in annual revenue and 19 employees, according to the Milford, Conn.-based firm.

ERP VENDOR DESKERA RAISES $60M

Shashank Dixit, DeskeraSingapore-based Deskera, which offers cloud-based business software, has raised $60 million in funding. The company, which has offices in India, Indonesia, Malaysia and the United States, plans to use the funds to add to its product portfolio and continue to expand globally.

QAD RETURNS TO PROFIT

Daniel Lender, QADManufacturing software company QAD posted net income of $1.8 million for its third quarter ended October 31. That compared to a loss of $904,000 in last year’s corresponding period. The improvement came on a 3.4-percent increase in revenue, which rose to $79.6 million in the most recently ended period, from $76.9 million a year earlier.

SAGE TAKING INTACCT OVERSEAS

Sage plans to introduce Intacct to international markets next year. In reporting this month its results for the year ended September 30, the company says Intacct will be launched into Australia and the United Kingdom and Ireland.

SAP BUYS RPA SPECIALISTS CONTEXTOR

Markus Noga, SAPSAP has acquired Contextor, which designs robotic process automation products. The software company said recently it will use Contextor’s RPA technology to automate half of all business processes supported by its SAP ERP software over the next three years.

HIGHJUMP SHIP ENHANCED

parcelHighJump Ship, a shipping application for small parcel and less-than-truckload shipments has been enhanced to support shipments originating outside of the U.S. and Canada. Minneapolis, Minn.-based HighJump said this month the software supports more than 200 additional national and regional parcel carriers in more than 70 countries.

INTUIT’S SMITH EARNED $21.1M

Brad Smith, IntuitIntuit CEO Brad Smith received $21.1 million  in compensation for the year ended July 31, an increase of 28.6 percent from $16.4 million a year earlier. Smith, who is leaving the company, will be replaced by EVP Sasan Goodarzi on January 1.
