RANDOM THOUGHTS: THERE'S ONLY ONE

There's only one fair solution to Newsweek's using a picture of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in a running suit on its cover. Force the magazine to run a picture of Democratic vice president Joe Biden in a running suit.

When someone asked if I had read the book, "Going Rogue"? I said, "Rogue? She's my favorite among the  X-men."Actually, Palin's publishers rejected her first book title, "On a Clear Day I Can See Russia."  ... I was tardy in remembering the fortieth anniversary of Sesame Street. There have been such changes over the years. The Cookie Monster is in rehab for his cookie problem. Oscar the grouch was relocated by a homeless outreach program. Bert and Ernie were joined in a civil union in California. And sad to say, Kermit had to stop seeing Miss Piggy because she gave him the swine flu. ... I'm not surprised at a study that showed criminal behavior can be detected in children as young as three years old. The kid next door got lots of envelopes stuffed with cash for his birthday and all the other children were kissing his ring.... Turns out the idea that the Mayan Calendar ends with the year 2011 was a misunderstanding. Recent translations show Mayan hieroglyphs that some idiot misplaced the order for calendars for 2013.
