Purists are apparently upset at the upcoming three-batter rule in which a pitcher must face three hitters before a team makes a pitching change. They are afraid the rule will speed up the game.

… I had already had my DNA analyzed by 23andme but this week I am sending off a sample to Ancestry.com. (It really sounds weird to say I just sent a vial of spit in the mail.)  I’m hoping for better results somebody once asked if I was worried about finding black sheep in my family I said, “No, I know where they all live.” I wasn’t impressed by the first result which said, “You really are your own grandpa.”  And apparently several of my DNA relatives petitioned 23andMe to remove all evidence of connection between me and them.… Latest news. It looks like the final tally from the Iowa Democratic causes have just come in and the results show Grover Cleveland the clear winner. An analysis of the problem found the party failed to buy enough abacuses for those counting votes. … Latest ad news: the Liberty Mutual had to reshoot ads featuring LiMu Emu and Doug took after the feathered companion was startled by one of the police sirens in a current TV spot and nearly disemboweled Doug with his sharp claws. That has led the sponsors to consider the next promotion will be for the “150 Ways to Prepare Emu” cookbook. A previously unknown video shows that in an ad comparing insurance companies, LiMu Emu pecked the original Geico gecko to death.… In other TV news, Kermit the Frog is reportedly being treated for depression after being eliminated from “The Masked Singer” compeition. Judges said his frog disguise wasn’t believable and described his voice as “froggy”.
