Larry KingBoth ComCast and TimeWarner shareholders have now approved their companies' merger. The new slogan will be "We will assimilate you. Resistance is futile." ... You have to feel for my wife. She's the daughter of, spouse of and mother of an only child. ... I guess we won't be seeing that long awaited "Seventh Heaven Reunion" now. It's looking about as likely now as a "Bonanza" reunion. ... Put my cellphone through the washing machine recently. Can somebody tell me if it's warm wash/cold rinse or cold wash/cold rinse? Might have made a difference. I'm thinking this is what we're looking forward to as wearable devices become more prevalent.

... In archaeological news, scientists have discovered the mummified body of Larry King. Oh wait, you mean he's not dead?  Hard to tell. ... ... The NFL has fined quarterback Colin Kaepernick $10,000 for wearing unapproved headphones. Glad to see the sport taking serious social issues seriously and not spending so much time frittering its efforts on things like spousal abuse. Fantasy football teams now include rankings of arrests and convictions. ... Speaking of football, there is a story about the likelihood England will end of with an NFL team. That's got to produce a real discussion about performance home versus away. ... No charges are being filed in a drunken brawl involving the Palin family. One report talks about the homeowner involved and says "Korey Klingenmeyer, pulled Bristol Palin across the lawn by her legs while calling the 23-year-old woman crude names. A witness told police she appeared 'heavily intoxicated' and punched Klingenmeyer some five or six times." Too bad, Sarah Palin didn't become VP. The family could have brought real spice to the White House Easter Egg roll.
