Among added features, Data Stories adds automated plain-language explanations to Tableau dashboards. In addition, the company is expanding its array of Accelerators, ready-to-use, customizable dashboard. More than 100 of these are available on the Tableau Exchange. New to Tableau is Advanced Managed, which offers advanced encryption capabilities, including customer-managed encryption keys and an Activity Log to provide detail event date on how individuals are using the application. The system also offers permission auditing and Admin Insights, which retains data for up to a year to help track dataset usage, license adoption and visualization load times.Among AI-based tools, Model Builder enables business teams to build and predictive models, using the Einstein Discovery engine, without having to leave Tableau workflows. Einstein Discovery also enables Text Clustering, which utilizes machine learning to extract keywords from large text fields. Meanwhile, Bias Detection for multiclass models that “expands the use-cases for multi-class models by rooting out bias by variable, preventing the need to re-train an entire model,” according to the company’s announcement.
