INFOR BOTTOM LINE UP; REVS FLAT Featured

Infor recently posted net income of $44 million for the third quarter ended January 31, compared to a loss of $7 million for last year’s corresponding period. Meanwhile, revenue of $787 million was virtually unchanged from a year earlier.

The bottom line was helped along by a 12.5-percent drop in the cost of software license fees as license revenue continued down and a decline in most expense categories. The software company was tightlipped about results—there was no press release about results and the announcement on the Infor Investor site linked directly to its filings on the SEC’s Edgar site. You have to wonder if post its purchase by Koch Industries the privately held company will stop public reporting. That deal would seem to have taken care of most of the publicly traded debt. SaaS revenue was $189 million for the most recently ended quarter, a 15.2-percent increase from $164.1 million. License revenue fell to $67.9 million, down 7.5 percent from $73.4 million. However, license fees rose by 2.3 percent in the Americas. Product updates and support revenue was $333.9 million, off 3.5 percent from $345.9 million. Consulting and other revenue was $196.2 million off 3.5 percent from $206.4 million. .
