SEOS apparently of getting the company’s on-premise applications to Azure, Microsoft’s cloud platform. One observer said the week was first time he recalls Sage talking about becoming a Saas company. That was the language the company used in announcing Lee Perkins as the first chief operating officer and commented about “Sage’s vision of becoming a great SaaS company through our focus on customers, colleagues and innovation." Getting the on-premise products to Azure would be a step towards SaaS.
Sage has announced the Sage ERP Online Service. The new service was announced this week at an “all-hands’ meeting. Apparently a similar meeting was held for Sage Intacct as the company this week emphasized its product group integration and an increasing emphasis on the cloud.
