 QAD has an agreement to buy Allocation Network GmbH, a provider for strategic sourcing and supplier management, based in Munich, Germany. Terms were not disclosed.

Allocation Network’s products and services fall into four strategic areas; Supplier Management, .  Founded in 1998, the target company employs 50 people.  QAD, which develops manufacturing software,  will incorporate Allocations systems into Integrated Supplier Management, Sourcing, Collaboration, Auction. Among the segments, Supplier Management incorporates Supplier Qualification, Supplier Classification, Contract Management, Supplier Evaluation, Supplier Development, and Sourcing Strategies. In Sourcing are Requisitions, Templates (RFI/RFQ), Bidder Lists, Submissions, List of Offers, Negotiation, and Awarding. Collaborations elements are workflow collaboration for Industrialization, Audits, Supplier Questionnaires, and CSR while Auctions focuses on Transfer from Sourcing, Template Design, Ticker Auction, and English Auction.
