TWO SAGE VPS DEPART Featured

Two Sage VPs are leaving the company in a sign of continued change as Sage merges the historical Sage North America side with Sage Intacct, The departees are Chris Rose, SVP of sales and customer success, and Chris Smith, VP of the construction business.

In fact, the consolidation is broader in a company in which many said acquired companies were largely left in their pre-acquisition organizations. Rose and Smith's exit was noted in a LinkedIn post by Judy Romano, CFO of Sage North America. This change comes after the recent announcement by CEO Steve Hare that the company is cutting around 820 rolls and Hare posted a farewell to the two in response to Romano’s post. Sage has announced it is unifying the company’s product and marketing operations. There will probably be more farewells. The company had already signaled its move to unify the channel with the August announcement that Taylor Macdonald, who had headed the Intacct channel since June 2010i is retiring at the end of the year. Chris Rose had joined Sage Intacct in January 2014 and Chris Smith came on board in May 2007. Smith had taken over his most recent role only in July. Before that, he had been chief o staff since March 2019 and had held several sales leadership roles in the preceding years.
