DELTEK MOVES INTO HQ
Deltek has moved into a new headquarters in Herndon, Va. The company said the facility consolidates 700 local employees in one building. Interesting that in describing the facility as having 103 open collaboration spaces, 120 community whiteboards and 29 huddle rooms, the announced said that there are also two game rooms. Must be for the programmers.
There are no hard-walled offices. Deltek put an emphasis on the environment with all work areas getting direct access to natural light and 75 percent of lights controlled by censors. Most construction materials were diverted from landfills and 20 percent of manufactured materials were sourced from within a 500-mile location of the facility. The press release announcing the move didn’t list the size of the facility.
