WHITHER SAGE'S AMERICAN CFO?

Marc Loupe, SageOne change that was made very quietly last fall was when Marc Loupe, CFO of Sage North America, switched jobs. He became EVP of Sage CRM Solutions and Nonprofit Solutions and given the recently announced sales in those areas, it looks like he was in charge of shopping the Fund Accounting line, Act and SalesLogix. Since November, the company has had an acting CFO, Karen Mortham, who was not visible because her picture and name were not posted to the Sage website.
A spokesperson said the future of the CFO's spot is not known, although it certainly looks like Loupe, having played the role of good soldier, could go back. There are two changes in the Sage managerial roles that are brought about by the sales of the product lines. Accel-KKR purchased the NFP line and Krista Endsley, SVP and general manager of Sage Nonprofit Solutions, has become CEO of the company that Accel-KKR is creating to run that base, a company apparently created but not named. The venture folks also purchased the CRM lines in a two-step process by purchasing SwiftPage which in turned acquired Act and SalesLogix. Dan Wilzoch, EVP and general manager for the CRM biz, will be moving to SwiftPage, which is led by CEO John Oechsle. SwiftPage will have offices in Denver, Colo., and Scottsdale, Ariz., while Sage will own a piece of the SwiftPage equity. One of the things that slipped by in the last quarter of 2012 was that Accel-KKR made a majority equity investment in supply chain software company Accellos.
