MechanicNet was founded in 1998 and touted itself as provided turnkey solutions to automotive service centers. It is headed by chairman and CEO Lung Tsai, who joined the company in 2000. Epicor says its automotive software products already serve more than 100,000 businesses. Epicor’s products in this market include the PartExpert database and the Integrated Service Estimator for estimating and source parts and related supplies. It also offers the Epicor Parts Network, an aftermarket B2B eCommerce channel.
