Diners who were attracted by the designation were somewhat suspicious of some dishes in the style “a la shingle”. … I have gotten to the point I don’t believe a word the media or politicians say and I have serious doubts about most of the things I say. 

… The Fortieth anniversary of the release of the original move “Star Wars” is in May. With the addition of prequels, the film is now called “Star Wars: Episode IV—A New Hope”. Given the tendency to extend franchises, I figure by the time the Fiftieth rolls around it will be Episode VII. Meanwhile, it’s sad to learn the fate of some of the characters from the originally trilogy. Chewbacca fell on hard times and was reduced to appearing as Big Foot in documentaries and R2D2 was mistakenly recycled as scrap. But there is some good news as Jabba the Hutt lost several hundred pounds and is now a fitness guru and JarJar Binks was executed as the result of a petition by millions of movie goers. … The “Not My President” movement for those opposed to the election of Donald Trump has spurred the creation of a new toy. With “My Secret President”, liberals can pretend Hillary Clinton won the election and is passing law every law that they favor. …. Meanwhile, in Austria, Donald Trump wigs are in such demand for the Carnival season that they are in short supply. It turns out that it’s difficult to match the Donald’s do since its composition has been declared top secret. … One of the latest TV pitch channels I cycled through was called “Hello Erection.” I am imagining that as a show stopping Broadway number with some intriguing visual effects.
