The software will initially be distributed by Xero's partner channel and will be free with main Xero application for a limited time. "Xero +C opens up a huge market opportunity for accountants," said Keri Gohman, president of Xero Americas. " The self-employed market is getting a lot of attention as the number of those workers expand. Intuit's QuickBooks Self-Employed has grown rapidly. Because self-employed workers often do not keep good records, accountants are sometimes reluctant to accept them as clients. With the software automating the creation of Schedule C reports, Xero believes accountants will be more willing to serve this market to provide advisory services.
