In a prepared statement, Alan James, SVP of the company's commercial segment, said, "The intention of our VAR channel is to accelerate the growth of our commercial enterprise solution, by extending our reach through companies that excel in the commercial software space". VAR development is being led by Perry Levine, who has had the position since August. Levine was a marketing specialist at Timberline Software from March 1994 through November 1997 and joined Sage when that company purchased Timberline, working there from November 1997 through July 2000. He was a regional sales manager at Deltek from January 2001 through January 2002. He served as VP and COO of Construction Imaging Systems from April 2004 through June 2006 and was an Application Solutions Consultant for Yardi Systems from August 2012 through August 2015
REALPAGE STARTS RESELLER PROGRAM Featured
RealPage, which makes property management software, has launched a VAR program. The Carrollton, Texas-based software company has not said how many resellers it might have signed. However, it did provide a statement by Scott Irwin, CEO of Aktion Associates, about his company's decision to take on the line. Besides reselling RealPage's accounting system, VARs will handle the other elements in the commercial suite, which include property management, budgeting, document management, eProcurement and reporting functionality.
