AUTOTASK ENTERS PSA CLOUD
Autotask, which markets IT management software, has acquired the VARStreet platform, which it modestly claims redfines "all IT Professional Services Automation (PSA) solutions by adding powerful tools to automate and streamline the entire IT product sales and procurement process." The deal brings three VARStreet products into the Autotask channel portfolio.
These are VARStreet Back-Office, an integrated IT product sales and procurement platform; VARStreet e-Commerce, which includes VARStreet Back-Office along with a VAR-branded and controlled e-storefront; and the high-end VARStreet XC platform. An embedded e-commerce module for Autotask is scheduled for release next month. Tools included in Back-Office include price book/catalog, advanced product quoting, e-sourcing, e-marketing and e-procurement.
