SAP released a list of the new resellers it has signed – more in the last three months than in the previous year – for its Business By Design line. (I’m switching from the BBD acronym to SAP’s preferred BYD). Among these were WAC Consulting, a Sage Pro VAR that had signed six days before the conference; Paradigm Analytics, which carries Epicor and AccuFund; Kerr Consulting and Support, which handles Cyma and Accpac; and Vision Business Solutions, another Epicor dealer.
(These were copied from a distant slide. I asked for a list and didn’t get it). Also present was Cornerstone Solutions, a historic Sage dealer, which has been carrying Business One but whose website does not show it yet carries BYD. LPS Consulting of Fanwood, N.J., similarly carries B1 but wasn’t announced yet on the new platform. Asked the reasons for adding the product, Brad Bertchie, director of operations for Paradigm Analytics replied (via email), “Name recognition, channel model, and functionality.” SAP is also expanding the channel for All-in-One, the prepackaged version of R3. Among these is Navigator Business Solutions which purchased Crossroads Partner in May and brought aboard its founder, Ken Eldridge, to head the A-i-O effort. Eldridge is a former ePartners exec and in June, ePartners founder Bob Dunikoski joined as an SVP. Illumiti, a Canadian Business One VAR, which also carries A-i-O, is expanding to Denver. Besides its Canadian offices, it also has facilities in Houston, Boston and Zurich. While 562 resellers from something like 360 organizations attended, bear in mind that many were Business Objects dealers. I was not able to get a breakdown.
