SAGE READIES ISV PAYMENT PROGRAM
Sage North America is getting ready to roll out a program that enables ISVs with on-premise or web-based applications to accept integrated payments via Sage Payment Solutions. “We expect this to be big for ISVs, whether the ISV is a Sage partner, or not,” says Julie Herman, VP of business development for Sage Payment Solutions. "Sage Payment Solutions can offer them a payment platform offering an entire suite of payments solutions, from credit card and check processing, to mobile payments, loyalty and gift cards.” T
he initial roll out is for Sage business partners, but the application involved does not have to be an accounting program. It can be any business application such as e-commerce or e-invoicing in which integrated payments would be a benefit to customers. The system utilizes Sage Exchange.com, a portal that sits on top of the Sage Exchange platform and which enables customers to establish and make payments. Sage says it is designed so software vendors “can be in the PCI Free Zone, which removes the solution from the scope of PCI PA-DSS, once they integrate to Sage Exchange.”
